Ourlaboratories
CEAL
Challenging Environment Assessment Laboratory
Our labs are part of the CEAL Laboratories at Toronto Rehab's Intelligent Design for Adaptation, Participation, and Technology (iDAPT) facilities.
immersive
We use technologies that offer an immersive user experience and allow to simulate real-world scenarios under safe and controllable conditions
Interactive
Most of our studies include interactive elements where participants walk, drive, or navigate through simulated environments.
Multisensory
Our laboratories aim to provide a multisensory perception, including stimulation of the visual, vestibular, auditory, and haptic sneses.
Streetlab
StreetLab is a Virtual Reality Lab that allows to study participants as they safely navigate through simulated, 3D streetscapes.
Driverlab
DriverLab is a state-of-the-art driving simulator comparable to the most sophisticated driving simulators in the world.
Perception
lab
VIMSLab is a climate-controlled lab that includes different display technologies to test visually induced motion sensations.
Motion
base
Hexapod motion platform that can be equipped with different labs.
innovative
We try to implement new ideas and technologies to solve every day problems that affect large portions of the population.
challenging
We simulate realistic situations, such as driving in a rainy night, to test performance and perception under safe and reproducible conditions.
applied
Our labs are simulate realistic situations so that the knowledge gained from our studies can be easily applied the real world.
