Understanding the side effects and after-effects of virtual reality use
Study Description
Study Description
Virtual Reality (VR) is revolutionizing the way we experience entertainment, healthcare, and training. However, a common side-effect of VR use is VR sickness, with symptoms of nausea, disorientation, and headaches.
This study will be examining the side effects and after effects of VR use. Participants will first complete a number of questionnaires and will then engage in a VR task that may cause motion-sickness like feelings. Participants are also asked to fill out a brief online questionnaire at three different times after the experiment (up to 24 hours after participating).
Eligibility Criteria
1. Men between 18-49 years old
2. Healthy (no history of stroke, active vestibular disorder, acute psychiatric disorder, diagnosed cardiovascular disease)
Duration and Compensation
~ 1 hour. Compensation will be provided.
